Many families each year lose their loved ones to mental health. Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem in any given year, with 1 in 6 reporting anxiety and depression every week. Male suicides have consistently accounted for approximately three-quarters of all suicides in the UK for the last 30 years, and the leading cause of death for men under 50. This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, a campaign to raise awareness of mental health and mental health problems, inspiring action to promote the message of good mental health for all.
At Cliff Bradley & Sons we’re acutely aware of the importance of mental health, supporting bereaved families and even our own members of staff through difficult times. Many people struggle to come to terms with the loss of a loved one and we always strive to make things easier, providing free bereavement counselling for families using our services. Being a funeral director is an emotional and challenging career at times, so we encourage our staff to talk and support one another, creating a family away from home and promoting a positive mental health environment. It's important to remember that we are all human and that it's OK to not be OK.
With a proud sixty year history of caring for local families through times of bereavement, our qualified funeral directors will always be here for you, treating your loved one as if they were our own.
